Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Development of Industrial town at Motonga under Samdrupjongkhar
Bhutan is gearing towards increasing manufacturing base and towards this effort the DHI infra, a wing of DHI planned to establish an industrial estate at Motonga under Samdrup Jongkhar. The EIA study is pre-requisite for the establishment of industrial estate. APECS consultant by engaging domain experts prepared a comprehensive EIA study report which got approved by NEC.
Following were the major scope of the assignment:
• Conduct public meeting to obtained the clearance from public, stakeholders, proponent etc.
• To carry out the studies based on sound, logical and rational approach engaging multi-disciplinary experts from environment to socio-economist to geologist and highway engineers
• Carry out Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Development of Industrial town at Motonga.
• Prepare and submit a comprehensive environmental impact assessment report.
Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) For The Construction Of 12km Cheng To Tobrang Farm Road Under Bumdeling Gewog, Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag
Cheng to Tobrang (12km) stretch falls under Bumdeling wild life sanctuary (Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag). Bhutan accords highest priority for the preservation of environment. Taking a farm road through this stretch required a thorough EIA studies based on the TOR approved by NEC. APECS consultancy carried out a comprehensive EIA studies which helped obtained an EIA approval by Trashiyangtse dzongkhag from the NEC.
Following were the major scope of the assignment:
• Conducted public meeting to obtained the clearance from publics, shareholder etc.
• Carry out EIA study to ensure that the proposed farm road does not have negative impacts on the environment by engaging Environments, Sociologist, Environment economist, Geologist, Biologist, Road Engineers among others.
• To prepare comprehensive environmental impact assessment report which got approved by the National Environment Commission.
