About us

APECS Consultancy is a Bhutanese firm based in the capital, Thimphu. It was formed through a collaborative partnership of national professionals with diverse experience in the public and private sectors. Within a decade of its establishment since 2011, APECS has ventured into numerous sectors making it the fastest growing consulting firm in Bhutan.

APECS has become the No. 1 Bhutanese firm in ADB’s Top Consultants in Bhutan since 2018.

APECS has formed strong partnerships with several regional and international firms and experts enabling the firm to emerge as a highly diversified multi-disciplinary firm. This integration helps implement complex projects, introduce new designs and technology, and transfer knowledge to the national staff to build capacity. The principle of the APECS’s partnership is to maintain a strong team with up-to-date expertise for efficient utilization in developmental projects.

It only seems like yesterday, and yet, 10 years have passed by just like that. Perhaps, we couldn’t comprehend because we were so engaged in making sure that aspirations of our clients are delivered and that Bhutan gets to become a more sustainably developed country.

But it is true that in the past 10 years a lot has changed. What I and a few other friends started as a road design firm has grown organically into a diverse and multidisciplinary firm that has been a key partner for several new development projects that required innovation and creativity. We have carried out projects throughout Bhutan and served almost all ministries under RGoB, and major international development partners; ADB, the World Bank, UNDP, JICA, Austrian Development Agency. We have built strong relationship and MoUs with regional and international firms who support us through knowledge sharing.
