The Royal Government of Bhutan recognizing the importance of investment in infrastructure to accelerate socio-economic development has embarked on promoting Public Private Partnership (PPP) as a key strategy for achieving sustainable economic growth. Considering the substantive role played by PPP in harnessing private sector investments and their operational efficiencies, the Government approved the PPP Policy in 2016.

However, there is limited application of PPP modality in Bhutan due to lack of its understanding and perceived implementation arrangement challenges. APECS is proud to be a key partner for several projects that leveraged on PPP modality to offer services to public. This includes operation of dry-port, CSI market, industrial development.
